Lady Rebels Struggle In Second Round At Lady Paladin Invitational

GREENVILLE, S.C. - The Ole Miss women's golf team struggled on Saturday's second round of action at the 35th annual Lady Paladin Invitational, posting a score of 321 after tallying a 306 in the first round of play. The host school, Furman, retained its lead in the with a second round 298 at the Furman University Golf Course. The Lady Paladins enter the final round with a 590, two-day total.
Leading the way for Ole Miss after two rounds is senior Laura Evans with a two-round total of 73-83--156. Evans currently sits in a tie for 39th place. Next for Ole Miss is junior Katie Davidson with her total of 77-80--157. Davidson is tied for 48th place with her teammate senior Sarah Kate Cousart. Cousart has a two-round total of 80-77--157.
A pair of freshmen round out the scoring for the Lady Rebels as Dori Carter is in a tie for 64th place with her two rounds of 76-84--160. Following Carter is Rachel Ingram in 90th place. Ingram has carded a two-round mark of 94-81--175.
The third and final round of the 35th annual Lady Paladin Invitational is slated for Saturday with a 9 a.m. shotgun start planned for the 17-team field.
