Lady Rebels Tie For Seventh At Lady Paladin Invitational

GREENVILLE, S.C. - Freshman Katie Davidson's score of 74 paced the Rebels on the final day of play at the Lady Paladin Invitational on Sunday, but it wasn't enough to push Ole Miss to a top five finish, as the Lady Rebels tied for seventh with a score of 305-319-301-925.
Ole Miss tied with the College of Charleston for the seventh-place finish at the tournament, which was played at the Furman University Golf Club, a par-72, 5,984-yard course.
"We played some good golf in the final round today, our best of the tournament," said head coach Meghan Bolger. "We turned in a good finish for the weekend and to close out an outstanding fall. We need to just take this and build on it over the break as we prepare for an even better spring season."
Sarah Kate Cousart led the way for Ole Miss at the tournament, finishing tied for 28th in the final standings with a three-day score of 75-80-75-230.
Nikki Hadd and Adrienne White both fired final round scores of 76 on Sunday, but Hadd finished the tournament tied for 31st with a score of 76-79-76-231, while White carded a score of 79-78-76-233 to tie for 36th.
Davidson turned in a three-day total of 77-84-74-235 to tie for 42nd in the overall standings, while Jade Polonich rounded out the scoring for Ole Miss, firing a 77-82-79-238 for the tournament. Polonich tied for 48th in the final standings.
The Lady Rebels closed out the fall portion of the season with the Lady Paladin Invitational. It marked the only finish outside the top 5 for Ole Miss in five tournaments. The Lady Rebels posted two second-place finishes, a fourth-place finish and a fifth place finish earlier in the fall.
