Lady Rebels Take Fourth At Stetson Tournament

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. - The Ole Miss Lady Rebels used strong performances from freshman Adrienne White and sophomore Sarah Kate Cousart to pull in the fourth consecutive top-five finish of the season, finishing fourth at the Hatter Fall Classic on Tuesday with a score of 322-316-317-955.
White and Cousart both turned in top 10 finishes for the three-day event to help push the squad to the fourth-place finish. White finished eighth in the standings, while Cousart tied for 10th.
"I'm really proud of the way this team played today on a tough course," said head coach Meghan Bolger. "Adrienne White has continued to play well, and Sarah Kate Cousart really stepped up for us and pulled in her first top 10 finish of the season. As long as we continue to have people step up when we need it, we can make a lot happen this season."
White fired a score of 83-76-75-234 for her eighth-place finish in the three-day event, while Cousart carded an 80-79-78-237 for her 10th-place finish.
Juniors Nikki Hadd and Jade Polonich finished the tournament right outside the top 20, as both players tied for the 21st position in the final standings. Hadd carded a three-day total of 82-78-82-242, while Polonich turned in a score of 77-83-82-242.
Laura Evans rounded out the scoring squad for the Lady Rebels, finishing the event tied for 46th overall with a score of 83-84-84-251.
Katie Davidson, the only other freshman on the squad, finished the event tied for 27th. Davidson, who played as an individual in the tournament, fired a score of 82-79-82-243.
The Lady Rebels will return to action at the Lady Paladin Invitational October 24-26, to close out the fall season.
