Lady Rebels Hold Down Sixth At LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic

BATON ROUGE, La. - A solid performance from team captain Bernadette Luse and senior Elizabeth Hoffman pushed the Ole Miss women's golf team to sixth place at the LSU/Cleveland Golf Classic with a first round score of 305.
Luse, the team captain, finished the day tied for fourth place as she fired an even 72 for the day. Hoffman finished tied for 20th as she carded a first round score of 76 on the par-72, 6,265-yard course.
Lori Cate fired a 78 to tie for the No. 33 spot on the day, while Teesha Ash scored a 79 to tie for 39th. Freshman Brooke Hixon rounded out the scoring for Ole Miss with an 83 to tie for the No. 59 spot..
Kerrie Davis turned in a first round score of 79 to finish in 39th. Davis' score does not count as she is competing as an individual in the tournament.
Ole Miss will return to action in the second round on Saturday and will conclude play on Sunday in the final round of competition at the tournament hosted by LSU.
