OLE MISS POSTGAME QUOTES
HEAD COACH DAVID CUTCLIFFE
"I am real proud of these guys and the way they played tonight. It is difficult in the midst of this losing streak to maintain our emotions. Georgia is very good in all aspects of its game. I thought we played real hard in the first half. At halftime, our players responded very well. Georgia played us real close in the second half. We could not get separation from their defensive backs. We also couldn't hold on to the ball, and Eli (Manning) was harassed by the defensive line. We did not seem to have the ball that much in the second half. It was hard to watch the last 10 minutes when Georgia made the third downs (to keep the drive going)."

"Georgia is an outstanding and very balanced team with very skilled athletes on both sides of the ball."

OLE MISS PLAYER QUOTES
ELI MANNING (JR., QB)
"Georgia played better in the second half. They made several stops and came up with big plays. They played more bump-and-run coverage. We ran the ball well in the first half and kept them off-balance, but in the second half, they put more pressure on me and we had to keep the running backs in to pass block. We came out ready to play, but we did not execute well. Georgia is a good team. They run the ball well and have playmakers on offense who stepped up tonight."

"They had a good game plan. They had a very good pass rush, and their defensive ends are very active. They have a lot of athletes. Their cornerbacks were better than I expected and I give them a lot credit."

(on Tim Jennings' interception for a touchdown)
"Georgia did a good job of utilizing the zone blitz. On that particular play, it was a new blitz that we had not seen. I was accounting for (Jennings) and I threw it right to him."

TRAVIS BLANCHARD (JR., DB)
"Their offensive line did a great job blocking and that allowed their receivers to make three or four moves on us. (David) Greene was on target and the receivers played well. It was the first time all year that (an opponent's) receivers had made three or four moves on us and that is a tribute to their great line play. We tried to keep more in the box to stop Musa (Smith)."

(on Greene and Edwards/Gibson combination)
"Greene, Gibson and Edwards were the best quarterbacks and two receiver combination we have faced this year. They have good playmakers and a good quarterback."

GEORGIA POSTGAME QUOTES
HEAD COACH MARK RICHT
"It was huge. Any game you win in this league is a big win. It puts us in position to get a second chance which you don't get often."

"Ole Miss is a very good football team. It was very important that we played well in the second half. The offense controlled the ball. It was a great way to finish the game."

(on injured players)
"I'm not sure on Boss (Bailey). (Terrence) Edwards is out anywhere from 3-6 weeks with separated shoulder. Boss sprained his knee. I don't know his status right now."

"I liked how we protected the ball in the second half. I like how Musa (Smith) wrapped up the ball and his yards after contact. I think this was his best game with the yards after contact."

GEORGIA PLAYERS
DAVID POLLACK (Soph., DE)
"The first half was just up and down, but the second half we got a lot more pressure on Manning. He is a great quarterback. You can't let him sit back there all day. We're one step closer now to our dream."

(on injury)
"I just tweaked me knee. Nothing like that can keep me out of the game."

(on Auburn)
"We've got build on this win this week. We've got to get stronger against the run. Auburn's got a great running game and they've got all the tools."

MUSA SMITH (Jr., RB)
"My freshman year against Ole Miss, I had 144 in the first half and last year I had a good game as well. Tonight I almost had 200 yards. I wish I had broken a big one tonight and gotten 200 yards."

(on getting 37 carries)
"I was a little tired at the end. I didn't even know I got 37 carries. I never thought that I would get that many. I never even carried 37 times in high school."

(on Auburn)
"We get to go back and celebrate this win tonight. We've got to continue to run tough. Come Monday, we have to get back to work. We've got to work real hard this week."
