Lady Rebels Travel To Georgia

OXFORD, Miss. - Coming off a 11th place finish at the Lady Gamecock Classic on March 16-18, the Ole Miss women's golf team is hitting the road once again to play Friday- Sunday in the 2001 Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic, hosted by the University of Georgia. The 54-hole event will be played at the University of Georgia Golf Course in Athens, Ga.
The 18-team tournament field includes: Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Duke, Furman, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Nebraska, North Carolina, Northwestern, South Carolina, Texas, Tulane, Wake Forest, and Vanderbilt.
Teresa Brown, a senior from Windermere, Fla., leads the Lady Rebels in stroke average with a 78.94 average this season. Elizabeth Hoffman, a junior from Kingwood, Texas, ranks second on the team with a 80.39 average.
Following play this weekend in Georgia, the Lady Rebels will be back in action on April 6-8, when they travel to Baton Rouge, La., to play in the 2001 LSU/Cleveland Classic.
