Ole Miss Closes Out Fall Season With Eighth Place Finish

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. - The Ole Miss women's golf team finished in eighth place at the Edwin Watts/Palmetto Intercollegiate on Tuesday at the Kiawah Island Oak Point Course. The Lady Rebels fired a 315-316-307-938 to climb back into the No. 8 spot after dropping to 10th place after the second round of play.
Junior Kerrie Davis set the tone for the Lady Rebels with a 75-83-74-232 that put her in a tie for the No. 15 spot at the end of the tournament. Davis finished in the top 20 for the second time this season and beat her previous best finish of 16th at the USF/Beacon Woods Invitational.
Bernadette Luse finished in a tie for the No. 23 spot with a 78-79-77-234, while senior Elizabeth Hoffman fired a 80-77-79-234 to finish tied for 33rd. Sophomore Teesha Ash recorded an 82-78-80-240 to take a tie for 48th. Freshman Nikki Hadd finished in 55th with an 83-82-77-242.
Freshman Brooke Hixon competed as an individual in the tournament and finished in a tie for 40th with a 82-84-72-238. The 72 was the low round of the tournament for a Lady Rebel.
