Miller entered the game tied with former Rebel standout Kent Austin (1981-85) at the top of the chart with 6,184 yards. Miller now holds the record alone with 6,311 yards.

* Miller's 50 yard rush in the second quarter was the longest rush of his career. His previous long was 22 yards at SMU on September 26, 1998.

* With 127 yards passing tonight, Romaro Miller became the first player in school history to record two seasons of at least 2,000 yards passing. He finished the 2000 season with 2,012 yards passing. Miller also passed for over 2000 yards as a sophomore in the 1998 season when he recorded 2,273 yards.

* Romaro Miller also became the second player to have two seasons of at least 2,000 yards of total offense. He finished the 2000 season with 2,099 yards of total offense. Miller had 2,306 yards of total offense as a sophomore in 1998. John Fourcade (1978-81) was the first Rebel to accomplish the feat of recording two seasons of over 2,000 yards of total offense (2,299 in 1980, 2,014 in 1979).

* Romaro Miller becomes the first player in Ole Miss history to have two 2,000-yard seasons in both passing yards and total offense in a career.

* Senior RB Deuce McAllister broke the Ole Miss single-season TD record with a one-yard run in the second quarter. The record-which was previously 14 TDs held by Kayo Dottley and Archie Manning-is now 17 TDs in a season.

* With his 72-yard TD run in the third quarter, Deuce McAllister became the first player in Ole Miss' history to rush for 3,000 career yards. McAllister finished his career atop the Ole Miss career rushing with 3,060 yards.

* Deuce McAllister's 72-yard run is tied for the 20th longest rushing play in Ole Miss history since 1933. McAllister is tied with A.J. Holloway for the 20th spot. Holloway had a 72-yard rush vs. Mississippi State on November 26, 1960, but did not score on the run.

* With his three touchdowns tonight, Deuce McAllister now holds the single-season scoring record with 102 points, passing Archie Manning who held the record at 86 points in 1969.

* Deuce McAllister continued to be perfect passing the ball in his career. McAllister is now 3-for-3 passing in his career after his 28-yard TD pass to Romaro Miller in the third quarter. He was 2-for-2 passing in the 1999 season.

* Deuce McAllister is the first player in Ole Miss history to score a TD by rushing, receiving, kickoff return and punt return, and also throw a touchdown pass.

* The last time Deuce McAllister scored three touchdowns was against Arkansas State earlier this year.

* Senior WR Grant Heard set the Rebel career receptions record with his third catch tonight vs. Mississippi State. Heard entered the contest with 137 career catches, just two behind Ta'Boris Fisher's record of 139. Heard's third reception of the game came in the second quarter when he caught a seven-yard TD pass from Romaro Miller. He finished the game with five catches, and completed his career with 142 receptions.

* With his 55 yards receiving, Grant Heard became the third Rebel to reach the 2,000-yard receiving yards milestone in his career. Heard finished his career with 2,029 yards receiving. Willie Green (1986-89, 2,274 yards) and J.R. Ambrose (1984-87, 2,012) are the only other two Rebels to accomplish that feat. Heard is now second on the career receiving yards chart with his 2,029 yards.

* The 21 points scored in the second quarter by the Rebels is the most points scored in a quarter since the 21 points scored in the third quarter against Tulane this season.

* The 75 points combined scored in tonight's game is a record in the overall series and the Egg Bowl series. The previous record was 72 points scored between the two teams in the 1985 encounter (45-27 Ole Miss victory).

* The 45 points scored by Ole Miss were the most in the series since the Rebels scored 51 points in a 51-14 victory in the 1972 season. The 45 points equaled the Rebels' output in the 1985 game (45-27 Ole Miss win).

* Ole Miss secured its fourth straight season with at least seven wins. The last time the Rebels had four consecutive seven-win campaigns was from 1968-1971, when Ole Miss went 7-3-1, 8-3, 7-4 and 10-2. The Rebels went 8-4 in 1997, 7-5 in 1998 and 8-4 last season.

* The 2000 seniors are the first four-year senior class to record four straight winning seasons since the 1956 class did so. The 2000 class is only the fourth in the post-World War II era to accomplish the feat of four straight winning seasons. The 1954 and 1955 senior classes also had four straight winning seasons. Freshmen were ineligible from 1954-72.

* Ole Miss is now 8-4-1 versus Mississippi State in Thanksgiving Day Egg Bowl battles and 12-8-1 all-time against the Bulldogs on Thanksgiving.

* The Rebels are 20-3 in home night games, starting with their 23-21 win over Memphis State on Sept. 8, 1990. They are 9-3 in SEC home night games.

* Ole Miss leads the all-time series, 55-36-6 and the Egg Bowl series, 48-19-5.
