Three Ole Miss football players -- senior cornerback Ken Lucas of Cleveland, Miss., senior defensive end Derrick Burgess of Riverdale, Md., and junior offensive tackle Terrence Metcalf of Clarksdale, Miss., -- picked up individual honors announced on Wednesday.

Lucas and Burgess were named to the Football News All-America third team, while Lucas and Metcalf were selected to the College Sports Central All-Southeastern Conference squad.

Lucas has set a school single-season record with 24 passes defensed and leads the Rebels with five interceptions, which is tied for second in the SEC and ranks 14th nationally.

Burgess ranks third on the team in tackles with 55 and leads the team in tackles for losses with 15, quarterback sacks with seven and one-half, and forced fumbles with three.

Metcalf has started all 10 games at left tackle this season. He has anchored an offensive line that has been depleted by injuries, forcing four different combinations, yet still has given up the fewest quarterback sacks in the SEC this season with seven.
