Lady Rebels Sitting In Seventh In Auburn Invitational

OPELIKA, Ala. - The Ole Miss women's golf team is seventh after two rounds of the Auburn Tiger-Derby Invitational. Final-round action will be played Tuesday at the Saugahatchee Country Club.
Georgia currently sits seven strokes ahead of the pack with a 296-291--587, while Auburn and Tennessee follow with a 594 and 605, respectively. The Lady Rebels shot a 310-308--618 today in their first action of the 1999-2000 season.
Junior Marci Kornegay is leading the way for Ole Miss in 14th place with a 76-76-152. A native of Savannah, Ga., Kornegay has four career top 20 finishes.
Kim Tudor, a sophomore from Winter Garden, Fla., fired a 75-79--154 today, good for 21st. Her first-round 75 was the Lady Rebels' best score of the day and tied the second-lowest single-round score of Tudor's career. Senior Robyn Rinaldo shot a 79-76--155 to place 26th, while sophomore-transfer Elizabeth Hoffman, competing in her first tournament at Ole Miss, is 39th with an 80-78-158. Junior Teresa Brown ranks 46th with a 81-78--159, and redshirt- freshman Allison Burrow, playing in her first career tournament, posted a 83-81--164 to place 55th as an individual.
