Lady Rebel Netters Sixth in Latest Rankings

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss women's tennis team moved up a spot to No. 6 in the third spring edition of the Rolex Collegiate Rankings released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Tuesday.

The Lady Rebels, 15-4, 7-3 in the SEC, are one of four schools from the conference to be ranked in the top 10. Stanford remained at the top, while Florida, Duke, Georgia and Texas round out the top five. The bottom five includes Ole Miss, BYU, Arizona State and Vanderbilt.

Seven SEC schools are among the top 25 in the latest rankings. Ole Miss concludes the regular season Friday at LSU.

Junior Agnes Muzamel fell to No. 12 in the singles rankings, while sophomore Ivona Mihailova remained at No. 20. Muzamel has a 25-11 overall record, 11-8 at the top spot.

Mihailova is 27-13 overall, 10-9 at No. 2 singles.

Doubles rankings will not be available until Wednesday. Muzamel and Courtenay Chapman were No. 8 in the last poll. They are currently 11-4 at No. 1 singles.
