SUMTER, S.C. – Ole Miss women's tennis picked up two singles victories Tuesday during the second day of qualifying at the ITF W15 Sumter tournament.
Alice Soulié earned a straight-set victory over Olivia De Los Reyes, 6-2, 6-4, to advance through qualifying action. Alice Battesti also secured a win, rallying past Panna Bartha in three sets. After dropping the opening set, Battesti responded with a 6-3 second-set win before clinching the match in a 10-7 match tiebreak.
Léna Thomas Iglesias (Ole Miss) fell to Léna Thomas Iglesias, 6-2, 6-1, in her qualifying match.
Ole Miss will continue competition in Sumter as the tournament progresses.
