Lady Rebel Golfers to Compete in LSU-Fairwood Invitational

OXFORD, Miss. - The Ole Miss women's golf team travels to Baton Rouge, La., this weekend to compete in the LSU-Fairwood Invitational at the par 72, 5,835 yard Fairwood Country Club. The teams will play 18 holes each day Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The tournament, hosted by LSU, includes Alabama, Arkansas, Arkansas-Little Rock, Auburn, UCLA, Duke, Florida, Memphis, Mississippi State, North Texas, North Carolina- Wilmington, Southern Illinois, SMU, Texas A&M, Texas Tech and Tulane.
Ole Miss is led by junior Robyn Rinaldo of Dade City, Fla., with a 73.93 stroke average and four top five, four top 10 and six top 20 finishes on the year. Rinaldo is coming off a 13th-place tie at the Lady Gator Invitational. In the first tournament of the spring for the Lady Rebels, Rinaldo captured medalist honors at the UCF Invitational with a 73-70--143.
Megan Breen, a senior from Longwood, Fla., is second on the team with a 74.88 stroke average and one top five, six top 10 and six top 20 finishes this season. Marci Kornegay, a sophomore from Savannah, Ga., is third with a 78.13 stroke average and one top five finish, followed by sophomore Teresa Brown of Windermere, Fla., with a 78.23 stroke average and three top 20 finishes.
Freshman Kim Tudor of Winter Garden, Fla., will compete for the Lady Rebels this weekend. Tudor has appeared in four tournaments this year with her best finish coming at the UCF Invitational, where she tied for 23rd. Another freshman, Lynn Ann Moretto of Englewood, Colo., will travel with the team to LSU. Moretto picked up a top 20 finish in her only action of the year, tying for 19th at UCF.
Ole Miss has five top five and seven top 10 finishes in seven tournaments this year. The Lady Rebels finished ninth in their last tournament, the Lady Gator, and have a team stroke average of 304.11 for the year.
