Lady Rebel Golfers Ranked Third in District, 23rd in Nation

OXFORD, Miss. - Robyn Rinaldo and Megan Breen of the Ole Miss women's golf team are ranked in the top 50 in the nation, according to the latest Golfstat rankings, and the Lady Rebels are ranked third in the South district. In the rankings by Golfweek magazine, Ole Miss is ranked 23rd in the nation.
Ole Miss has four top five and five top 10 finishes in five tournaments this year, including a win at the Lady Rebel Intercollegiate. The Lady Rebels have a 302.61 stroke average and shot a school-record low round of 287 at the Lady Seminole Classic.
Rinaldo, a junior from Dade City, Fla., is 34th in the nation with a 74.00 stroke average. In five fall tournaments, Rinaldo recorded three top five, three top 10 and four top 20 finishes. She tied for second at the Auburn Tiger Invitational, tied for third at the Lady Rebel Intercollegiate and finished fourth at the Beacon Woods Invitational.
Breen, a senior from Longwood, Fla., is ranked 39th with a 74.31 stroke average. Breen has one top five, five top 10 and five top 20 finishes in five tournaments, including a first-place finish at the Lady Rebel Intercollegiate. She tied for sixth at the Auburn Tiger Invitational, tied for seventh at the Lady Seminole Classic, tied for ninth at the Beacon Woods Invitational and tied for 10th at the Memphis Intercollegiate.
"I am very proud of Robyn and Megan for working so hard in the fall," Ole Miss head coach Keil Purdom said. "They have led the team this year, and I expect them to continue playing well in the spring."
Ole Miss returns to action Feb. 15-16 at the UCF Invitational in Orlando, Fla., at Stoney Brook Golf Course.
