OXFORD, Miss. -- The Ole Miss Lady Rebel golf team will travel to Opelika, Ala., to compete in the Southeastern Conference Women's Golf Championships this weekend. The tournament, which will run from Friday through Sunday, will be hosted by Auburn University.
The Lady Rebels are looking for their 10th top-10 finish of the season, which would tie a school record. Ole Miss has finished in the top-10 in all four of its spring tournaments, with its best finish a second-place showing at the Central Florida Invitational in mid-February.
Senior Megan Breen and junior Robyn Rinaldo have been pacing the Lady Rebels all season, and will look to do the same at the SEC Championships this weekend. Rinaldo leads the team with a 75.24 stroke average, while Breen is second at 75.73. Both golfers are also ranked among the top-10 in stroke average in the SEC. In the Lady Rebels' four spring tournaments, either Rinaldo or Breen has been the team's top finisher.
The sophomore tandem of Teresa Brown and Marci Kornegay and freshman Kim Tudor will round out the Lady Rebel lineup at the SEC Championships this weekend. Kornegay is third on the team with a 78.50 stroke average, while Brown has a 78.86 average and Tudor an 80.50 average.
Last year, the Lady Rebels placed sixth at the SEC Championships, with Breen and Rinaldo tying for the team's highest finish at 13th.
