Georgia Postgame Notes

* Hap Hines tied a Georgia record for Most Field Goals in a Game with 4 tonight. One ofthose(51) was his second 50+ yarder . He also had a 54-yarder vs.Central Florida earlier this year. Hines tied the FG mark also accomplished by Kim Braswell, Kevin Butler twice, Steve Crumley twice and Kanon Parkman three times.

* Georgia tied a season-high with 87 plays tonight, also having 87 vs. Utah State. Quincy Carter completed passes to eight different receivers including a career-high by both tight ends, Jevaris Johnson (5-67 yards) and Randy McMichael (4-for 75 yards). Carter completed 26 of 41 passes for 349 yards and 1 TD.

* Freshman Terrence Edwards tied the school record for Most TD catches in a season tonight with his ninth. He is tied with Brice Hunter (1993) and Hason Graham (1994).

* Terreal Bierria, a RS-Freshman, made his first career start tonight and snagged his first interception. He is the eighth different Bulldog to snag an interception.

* Georgia now leads the series 25-12-1 including won three straight. Tonight was another close game as Georgia is 11-3 vs. Ole Miss in games decided by seven points or less.

* Ole Miss had two rushers go over a 100 yards, marking the first time that has happened to the Bulldogs since Vanderbilt had two (J. Johnson and R. Gordon ) in 1994.

Ole Miss Postgame Notes

* Today's attendance of 50,876 is the third largest crowd at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium and also the third largest on-campus crowd to watch a game in the state of Mississippi.

* Wide receiver Cory Peterson has now caught a pass in 20 straight games, including last December's Sanford Independence Bowl.

* Deuce McAllister's 84-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter was the fifth longest run in Ole Miss history. It was also the longest run in the SEC this year. The previous best, a 70-yard run by Tennessee's Jamal Lewis vs. South Carolina (Oct. 30).

* Deuce McAllister's two rushing touchdowns moved him into second place on the career rushing touchdowns list with 23, passing John Fourcade (1978-81). He is second behind Archie Manning (1968-70) who had 25.

* Deuce McAllister's 104 yards rushing moved him into third place on the career rushing chart with 2,159 yards, passing Leon Perry (1976-79).

* Deuce McAllister's 104 yards rushing moves him into fourth place all alone on the career 100-yard rushing games with eight.

* Ole Miss had two 100-yard rushers in a game for the second time this season, with Deuce McAllister's 104 yards and Joe Gunn's 103 yards. The last time this happened was against LSU this year. McAllister had 140 yards and Gunn had 135.

* Placekicker Les Binkley's two extra points and field goal moved him into a tie with Brian Lee (1992) for the single season kick-scoring record with 70 points.

* Ole Miss recorded one sack to extend its streak to 21 straight regular season games with at least one quarterback sack. The last time the Rebels didn't register at least one QB sack was in the 1997 regular-season finale at Mississippi State.
