Chas Ossenheimer,MS, SCCC, CSCS, USAW, joined the Ole Miss health and sports performance staff in June 2014 and serves as the assistant coordinator of strength and conditioning for Olympic sports, overseeing softball and women's tennis.
Ossenheimer previously served as an assistant athletic performance coach for Baylor University, where he maintained responsibilities with football, men's tennis, acrobatics and tumbling and women's golf.
Ossenheimer was a graduate assistant at Southern Illinois University from 2011-2012. At Southern Illinois, he assisted with football while being responsible for men's tennis, volleyball and cross country. Also at Southern Illinois, Ossenheimer earned his Masters in kinesiology.
He arrived at Southern Illinois via Eastern Illinois University in 2010-2011, where he served as the assistant strength and conditioning coach. There, Ossenheimer assisted with football and working primarily with softball and men's soccer.
Prior to Eastern Illinois, he was an intern at the University of Central Florida from 2009-2010 while working with football, softball, volleyball and baseball, while also graduating with his undergraduate degree in sports and fitness.
He holds certificates from the National Strength and Conditioning Association, Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association and the United States of America Weightlifting Association.
