Amanda Brown joined the FedEx Student-Athlete Success Center staff in September of 2022 and currently serves as the Assistant Athletic Director for Academic Enrichment. She is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations for the academic enrichment side of Student-Athlete Development, which includes the tutorial program, campus tutorial partnerships, payroll, hiring part-time staff member, mentor program, Rebel Reading program, R.E.B.S Summer Bridge Program, math and writing labs, testing and accommodations, and five learning specialists, while also maintaining a caseload of student-athletes.
Prior to Ole Miss, Brown served as the Associate Director of Academic Services at Georgia Tech working with men’s basketball, men’s golf, and volleyball and overseeing the summer school enrollment program and handling the day to day operations of the tutorial program. She joined Georgia Tech’s Student-Athlete Support Services staff in July 2012 as an Academic Coordinator. In July 2014, Brown was promoted to Senior Academic Coordinator, before being elevated to Assistant Director in July 2016, and then Associate Director in August 2019.
Brown is a recipient of Georgia Tech Athletic Association’s Driving Excellence Award for 2016. Brown has been a member of the National Association of Academic and Student-Athlete Development Professionals (N4A) since 2012 and is a 2022 participant of the N4A’s Professional Development Institute: Leader/Manager track.
Brown, originally from Dallas, Texas, earned her bachelor’s degree in economics from Bucknell University where she was a member of the women’s basketball team. Brown also holds her MBA from Mercer University.
