Brian Wiseman began his second stint at Ole Miss in February of 2017, returning to Oxford as the Associate Coordinator of Strength and Conditioning.

In his role, Wiseman is in charge of the strength and conditioning training for the Ole Miss soccer team as well as strength training for the Ole Miss Track & Field program. Additionally, Wiseman is in charge of the management of the Gillom Athletics Performance Center weight room and staff.

It is Wiseman’s second stint in Oxford, having served as the Assistant Coordinator of Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning. He was responsible for the strength and conditioning programs for men’s and women’s track and field, men’s golf and assisted with the 2008 and 2009 Cotton Bowl champion football teams.  During his initial run at Ole Miss, Wiseman coached more than 20 All-Americans, including 3 national champions and 10 NFL Draft picks.

Prior to returning to Ole Miss, Wiseman was the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 2014-17. During his time with Milwaukee, he was primarily focused on strength and conditioning training for Panther men’s basketball, volleyball and baseball.

Before making the move to the Dairy State, Wiseman was a civilian contracted Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the United States Army. Working with the Army’s Special Forces soldiers, his duties were to prepare soldiers for their upcoming missions using athletic based training principles and methodologies.

While preparing soldiers to fight the global war on terrorism, Wiseman also provided strength training programs for former Rebel and USA Track and Field Long Jump athlete Brittney Reese. With the support of his programs, Brittney attained the Gold medal in the 2012 London Olympics, an American indoor record (2012), two Indoor World championships (2010, 2012), two Outdoor World championships (2009, 2011), two USA Indoor championships (2009, 2010), five USA Outdoor championships (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012) and runner-up finishes in USA Indoor (2012) and Outdoor championships (2007).

Wiseman began his full-time coaching career as an assistant strength and conditioning coach at Sam Houston State University working with more than 10 intercollegiate men’s and women’s sports. Prior to that, he worked as a Graduate Strength and Conditioning Coach at the University of Southern Mississippi while earning a Master’s degree in Sports Administration/Coaching. Wiseman completed his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, volunteering as a Student Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach.

As a competitive athlete, Wiseman qualified and participated in the 2009 American Open Weightlifting Championships, played Rugby at SIU and later with The Woodlands, Texas Rugby Football Club.

He is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and is also a Level 1 Club Coach through USA Weightlifting.

Native to Freeburg, Illinois, Wiseman resides in Oxford with his wife, Nadia and daughters, Sophia and Anna.
