Taylor Oekerman, MPA, LAT, ATC, currently serves as the assistant athletic trainer for the track and field and cross country teams. Prior to her current role at Ole Miss, Oekerman spent two years with the track and field and rifle teams at Murray State University.
In 2021, Oekerman completed her Master of Public Administration: Health Administration from Portland State University where she worked as the athletic trainer for the Viking's Track and Cross Country teams. Oekerman earned her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from Boise State University in 2018 where she primarily worked with Boise State Football, Track and Field, and Women's Soccer, among other various sports and settings.
Oekerman is a strong advocate for improving mental health and nutrition resources in collegiate athletics and believes in creating a culture of responsiveness to the mental health needs of student athletes through a lens of trauma informed care.
Oekerman is a BOC certified athletic trainer and a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association.
Oekerman was born and raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho, but currently resides in Oxford, Mississippi with her husband Dan and her dog Timber.
