Matthew Winsberg was added to the Ole Miss staff as director of video operations in the summer of 2024. Prior to coming to Oxford, he spent time at East Carolina University as assistant to the head coach, where he continued to develop his coaching skills, reuniting with Riley Davis and learning from coaches Mike Schwartz and Mark Adams.

Prior to ECU, Winsberg was an assistant coach under Junsie Cotten at Lincoln Trail College during the 2021-22 season, where he mentored Greg Jenkins, the league’s freshman of the year. He also served as the analytics coordinator at UT Arlington from 2019-21, working under Chris Ogden and alongside Riley Davis. Winsberg also has international experience, working as the video coordinator and head scout for Brad Greenberg's Maccabi Ashdod squad in Israel’s first division during the 2018-19 season.

Winsberg began his coaching career at the University of New Orleans under Mark Slessinger, at Isidore Newman under Jimmy Tillette, and at Christian Life under Stephen Dale in Louisiana. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in sports administration from LSU where he served as a manger for the men’s basketball team. While at LSU he worked with eventual NBA players: Skylar Mays, Duop Reath, Antonio Blakney, and Brandon Sampson.
