AUBURN, Ala. – Ole Miss soccer fell to Auburn, 3-0, Friday night at the Auburn Soccer Complex.
Auburn (5-1-3, 1-1-0 SEC) scored in the 30th minute when Gracie Brown finished an assist from Kelly Gordon for her second goal of the season. The Tigers doubled their advantage less than six minutes later as Grace Ivey scored off a pass from Layla Sirdah, sending Auburn into halftime with a 2-0 lead.
The Tigers added their final goal at the 55:23 mark when Kennedy Husbands found the back of the net for her first goal of the season.
Ole Miss (7-3-0, 0-2-0 SEC) generated all three of its shots through Alena Watts, Ava Ghoreishi and Teaghan Irvin. Watts recorded the Rebels' lone attempt of the opening half before Ghoreishi and Irvin each added a shot following the break.
Auburn finished with an 18-3 advantage in shots and placed six attempts on goal. The Tigers also held an 8-3 edge in corner kicks. Anna Claire Jacobi played all 90 minutes in goal for Ole Miss and recorded three saves.
The Rebels return home Thursday, Sept. 24, to host Vanderbilt at Ole Miss Soccer Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT on SEC Network+.
