Men’s Tennis Claims Doubles Title at Milwaukee Tennis Classic

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Ole Miss men's tennis capped its opening fall tournament with a championship Sunday, as junior Kai Milburn and sophomore Igor Kudriashov captured the doubles title at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic.
Milburn and Kudriashov defeated Ludovico Vaccari and Imran Daniel Abdul Hazli, 6-3, in the doubles final to claim the tournament championship.
The Rebel duo entered the final after posting a pair of victories Saturday. Milburn and Kudriashov opened the day with a 6-3 quarterfinal win over Will Steinberg and David Fix before earning a 7-6 semifinal victory over Matthieu Chambonniere and Maximus Dussault.
The championship marked a strong opening to the fall season for both Rebels. Milburn also advanced to the singles semifinals after defeating Charlie Spencer in the quarterfinals, while Kudriashov reached the singles semifinals with a quarterfinal victory over Chambonniere.
Milburn and Kudriashov will carry the momentum from Milwaukee into the remainder of the fall slate, with the Rebels set to compete in eight more tournaments this fall.
