Men’s Tennis Advances to Doubles Final at Milwaukee Tennis Classic

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Ole Miss men's tennis continued its strong showing at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic Saturday, as junior Kai Milburn and sophomore Igor Kudriashov advanced to the doubles final while both Rebels competed in the singles semifinals.

Milburn and Kudriashov opened the day with a 6-3 quarterfinal victory over Will Steinberg and David Fix. The Rebel duo followed with a thrilling 7-6 semifinal win over Matthieu Chambonniere and Maximus Dussault to advance to Sunday's doubles final.

In singles action, Milburn opened the day with a three-set victory over Charlie Spencer, 6-3, 5-7, 10-1, in the quarterfinals. He then faced Nolan Balthazor in the semifinals, and advanced in straight sets 6-4, 6-2.

Kudriashov also advanced to the singles semifinals after defeating Chambonniere in the quarterfinals, 2-6, 6-4, 10-3. In the semifinal round, Kudriashov battled Dussault before falling 7-6, 6-4.
The Rebels will close out the Milwaukee Tennis Classic Sunday, with Milburn and Kudriashov set to compete in the doubles final at 9 a.m. CT.
