Hudson Calhoun Selected in Fourth Round of 2026 MLB Draft

PHILADELPHIA – As the first day of the 2026 Major League Baseball Draft wrapped up, one more Rebel heard his name called as Hudson Calhoun was selected by the Texas Rangers in the fourth round.
Calhoun was the 117th overall pick in the draft and joins Cade Townsend and Taylor Rabe as Rebels to be drafted on the first day. He becomes the fourth Ole Miss pitcher over the last two seasons to be drafted in the fourth round or higher.
Calhoun appeared in 22 games for the Rebels in 2026, starting in two of them. He posted a 4.05 ERA with a career-high 67 strikeouts over 46.2 innings pitched. His 67 strikeouts were the second-most on the team by a relief pitcher.
Over three seasons at Ole Miss, Calhoun posted a 4.46 ERA over 72.2 innings and 45 total appearances. He struck out 105 batters and held opponents to a .201 batting average.
