Men’s Track & Field Ranks No. 6 in Week Two USTFCCCA Rating Index

4/7/2026 | Track and Field

NEW ORLEANS – Ole Miss men's track & field remained in the top-10, coming in at No. 6 in the Week Two USTFCCCA Track & Field Rating Index released on Tuesday morning.

Of the 42 total top-10 rankings in Ole Miss track & field history, 11th-year head coach Connie Price-Smith owns 39 of them (12 men, 27 women). In the outdoor season, she owns 16 of 18 total top-10 slots (3 men, 13 women), while indoors she owns 23 (9 men, 14 women). In total, Price-Smith has tallied 75 of the 139 outdoor rankings appearances in combined program history (28 men, 47 women).

The USTFCCCA's Track & Field Rating Index is a computer rating system which uses an algorithm that emphasizes individual performances, assigning a point value to each individual mark that contributes to a team total to assess its national ranking.

Ole Miss track & field is back at home this week to host the Joe Walker Invite, set for April 10-11 at Prefontaine Stadium.
