WEST POINT, Miss. – The No. 13 Ole Miss men's golf team shined in their home state Monday at the Mossy Oak Collegiate. The Rebels posted (559, -17) and lead the field by nine shots after 36 holes of action. Four Rebels sit inside the top six individually at 3-under-par or better.
For the second straight tournament, Tom Fischer is in the driver seat looking to capture another individual title. The Birmingham, Alabama native is 6-under after rounds of 68 and 70 at Mossy Oak Golf Club. He had the putter rolling early and often, tallying 13 birdies on the day.
Fischer co-leads alongside Rice's Lukas Boandl.
Just two shots behind Fischer are his teammates Cameron Tankersley and Cohen Trolio. The duo each sit at 4-under, tied for fourth.
Collins Trolio is the fourth Rebel inside the top six at 3-under-par. He went lowest among all Rebels in the second round, carding a season low 18-hole score of 4-under 68.
Both Trolio brothers eye their first collegiate victory heading into Tuesday's final round while Tankersley searches for his second win this season.
Ole Miss led the field in par-4 and par-5 scoring on the day. The Rebels also tallied the most birdies with 42 collectively.
Final round action will begin at 9:40 a.m. CT.
