No. 14 Women’s Golf Wraps Day One at Moon Golf Invitational

MELBOURNE, Fla. – The No. 14 Ole Miss women's golf team is tied for 10th after round one at the Moon Golf Invitational. The Rebels posted (300, +12) in what was a tough scoring day for all teams at Suntree Golf Club.
The Aggies of Texas A&M were the lone team to post an under-par opening round and just eight players sit in red figures after 18 holes.
Nicole Gal led the way for Ole Miss with a score of one-over par. She started strong finding birdies on her first two holes and posted one-under 35 over her first nine. Gal would get to two-under through 14 but scuffled a hair down the stretch to shoot 73.
Matilda Björkman posted three-over par, tallying a pair of birdies in round one.
Mary Miller and Kajsolotta Svarvar each shot four-over 76 and Sophie Linder finished the day at six-over par.
Ole Miss will begin round two beginning at 8:40 a.m. CT.
