No. 14 Women’s Golf Through Two Rounds at Moon Golf Invitational

MELBOURNE, Fla. – The No. 14 Ole Miss women's golf team jumped three spots up the leaderboard Monday and sit seventh after 36-holes of action at the Moon Golf Invitational. Freshman Matilda Björkman paced the Rebels with a three-under 69 in round two.
For most of the day the low round belonged to Ole Miss but the back side of Suntree Country Club proved challenging again as the Rebels finished one-under par collectively and sit (587, +11) for the tournament.
Björkman would begin the day with nine straight pars before birding three of her next six holes. She would close with three consecutive pars. Björkman was the only Rebel to go bogey-free on the day and jumped 33 spots to T7 heading into tomorrow's final round.
Sophie Linder also scored in red figures with a round of one-under 71. Kajsalotta Svarvar bounced back after a tough opening round, shooting even par on the day.
Nicole Gal and Mary Miller each posted three-over 75.
Just two holes on the golf course are playing under-par through 36-holes. Björkman leads the field in par 4 scoring at five-under on the week.
The final round will begin at 8 a.m. CT with a shotgun start.
