SERIES HISTORY
Ole Miss and Kentucky will meet for the 49th time in series history, as the Rebels hold a 29-19 record and a 12-10 record at in Lexington. Ole Miss has won the past six matchups over Kentucky, including a dominant 30-point victory two seasons ago. In what was head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin's 100th win at Ole Miss, the Rebels steamrolled the Wildcats, 75-45.

That win marked the largest SEC win on the road since 2006. Nearly the entire Ole Miss roster got minutes in the game, with Madison Scott scoring a team-leading 16 points. Ole Miss shot out to an early lead which it would not relinquish, making eight first quarter field goals to Kentucky's two, for a 20-7 lead. Kentucky shot 29.3% from the field for the game and were only able to come away with one steal.

Last season's matchup was just as memorable, when the Rebels toppled the No. 8 ranked Wildcats on Craddock Court, 66-57. It marked Scott's 145th game as a Rebel, making her the program leader in games played. She shined in her history-making day, scoring a team-leading 22 points while adding six rebounds and two blocks. Ole Miss outrebounded Kentucky 54 to 33, and despite the Wildcats shooting better from the floor, the Rebels still prevailed.

The series has historically been dominated by the Rebels, who won 15 of the first 17 games. When Kentucky is ranked, Ole Miss holds a 10-7 advantage. The Rebels have won the past four games against ranked Wildcat teams dating to 2021.

In 2016, Ole Miss earned its first victory in the SJB Pavilion after knocking off No. 9 Kentucky. Shequila Joseph and A'Queen Hayes popped off for the Rebels. Joseph made five threes while Hayes picked up four steals.

There have been several impressive individual performances against the Wildcats in 50 years of women's basketball at Ole Miss, including Carol Ross dishing 13 assists in the 1979-80 season (tied for fifth-most in Ole Miss history), Susan Byrd blocking six shots to tie the fifth-most in program history in 1993-94 and Tia Faleru draining the second-most free throws in a game in 2013-14 with 15.

SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
Second-year head coach Kenny Brooks and the Kentucky Wildcats enter the matchup at 19-7 overall and 6-6 in SEC play, including an 11-2 mark at home. The Wildcats are outscoring opponents by +18.0 points per game on the season, while holding teams to a 36.2 percent clip from the field. In conference play, that margin narrows to +2.6, as Kentucky averages 70.8 points against SEC competition.

Clara Strack anchors the interior, averaging 16.1 points and 10.6 rebounds per game with 69 total blocks this season. In league play, she continues to produce at a high level with 15.3 points and 11.4 rebounds per contest, serving as the focal point of Kentucky's frontcourt on both ends.

Tonie Morgan powers the offense, posting 14.5 points and 8.4 assists per game overall. Her 219 total assists are the most by any DI women's basketball player this season, proving her efficiency in dropping dimes. In SEC action, she has elevated her scoring to 16.3 points per game while shooting 50 percent from three. Kentucky averages 17.4 assists per game on the year, showcasing the Wildcats' ability to move the ball and generate quality looks.

From the perimeter, Asia Boone (73 made threes) and Amelia Hassett (65 made threes) stretch the floor, contributing to Kentucky's 8.7 made threes per game. Defensively, Kentucky protects the rim at an elite level with 6.8 blocks per game, ranking second best in the nation behind Virginia. The Wildcats are at their best when they control the paint, share the ball efficiently, and establish early rhythm from the perimeter, especially inside a tough home environment in Lexington.

LAST TIME OUT
For the sixth time in a row, No. 14/16 Ole Miss women's basketball bested Arkansas, 80-57, for its 20th win of the season Thursday night at the SJB Pavilion in Oxford, Mississippi.

Following the effects of Winter Storm Fern, the Rebels rekindled the magic they've built on home court. The Rebels remained undefeated on Craddock Court, at 12-0, this season and scored 80 points for the 13th time this year. That serves as the eighth most by any Ole Miss squad in its 51-year history. Last year's squad hit 14 games of 80-plus points, but before then, no more than 15 games have been scored above 80 points since 2006-07.

With its offensive dominance, Ole Miss also shut down Arkansas' scoring efforts nearly completely. The Razorbacks had their third-worst offensive output against SEC opponents this season and committed 18 fouls.

For the fifth game in a row, and 15th time this season, Cotie McMahon scored at least 20 points in a game, finishing with 21 against the Razorbacks. Latasha Lattimore and Sira Thienou once again paced Ole Miss defensively, both excelling in their respective strengths. Lattimore had five blocks, her ninth game this season with at least that many and her third with at least five.

Near the perimeter and deep in the paint, Thienou disrupted Arkansas' offense all game, tallying four steals. The sophomore upped her team-high mark in steals to 44 in the overall season, sitting comfortably over 120 for her career. The senior-sophomore duo combined for seven total steals for the game.

Lattimore also added 17 points and 11 rebounds for her second consecutive double-double. Thienou had 11 points and eight rebounds on top of her steals. Denim DeShields had a season-high 12 points, all from long distance. Her four threes tied her career single game best.

HISTORY REWRITTEN
Ole Miss and head coach Yolett McPhee-McCuin have reached the 20-overall win plateau for a fifth consecutive season and the 23rd time in program history. It marks the first time in the 21st century that Ole Miss has reached at least 20 wins in five straight seasons and first since Van Chancellor led 11 consecutive teams to that mark from 1981-92.

This year, the Rebels look to tally at least 10 SEC wins for the fifth consecutive season. Coach Yo is the only coach in program history to have at least 20 overall wins and 10 SEC wins in four seasons at the helm.

HOME SWEET HOME
Rebel nation has turned the SJB Pavilion into an intimidating environment for visiting teams, especially in the nonconference slate. Ole Miss has won 39 of its last 42 games at home against nonconference opponents, dating back to the 2020 season. This season, the Rebels went undefeated in nonconference games at the SJB Pavilion with eight wins. It's the fourth time under Coach Yo and marks back-to-back seasons where Ole Miss has recorded the same feat.

Halfway through conference season, the Rebels remain undefeated on Craddock Court, at 12-0, with just three regular season games remaining in Oxford.

SHE'S THE mcMAHON
Cotie McMahon has provided a spark to the Ole Miss offense in her first season in Oxford. She scored at least 10 points in each of Ole Miss' first 19 games this season, tying Bianca Thomas for the longest such streak in recent memory by a Rebel, who started the 2009-10 season with 19 consecutive games of double-digit points.

For the fifth game in a row, and 15th time this season, McMahon scored at least 20 points in a game, finishing with 21 against Arkansas last game. She's tied Armintie Price' 2006-07 season for the seventh-most 20-point games in a single season by a Rebel. With her performance, she's pulled within 20 points of 2,000 points in her overall career, a mark achieved by only four Rebels previously and not since Angel Baker did so in 2022-23.

McMahon likes to share the love, as the four times that she has earned a double-double in a game, another Rebel has earned the same feat. Alongside McMahon, Christeen Iwuala earned double-doubles against Southern and Memphis, Latasha Lattimore earned one against Wofford and Sira Thienou notched a double-double versus Missouri.
