Men's Basketball Trio, Beard Set to Attend SEC Tipoff '27

OXFORD, Miss. – Head coach Chris Beard, Budd Clark, Patton Pinkins, and Roman Siulepa will represent the Ole Miss men's basketball team at the SEC Tipoff '27 In Birmingham, Alabama on Tuesday, Oct. 13, the conference announced on Thursday.
 
Beard enters his fourth season at Ole Miss and has led four different programs to the NCAA Tournament since 2016, including an appearance in the 2019 National Championship game and Elite Eight run the year before at Texas Tech. As an NCAA head coach, he owns a 296-142 record for one of the top winning percentages among active coaches in the nation at 67.6 percent. This will be Beard's 30th season in coaching basketball.
 
Budd Clark – Sr. – G – Philadelphia, Pa.
Saw action in 33 games last season while averaging 12.7 points, 4.9 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.9 steals per game at Seton Hall. He was also named to the All-Big East Second and All-Defensive Teams. Clark led the Pirates in assists, minutes, points and steals.
 
Patton Pinkins – So. – G – Murfreesboro, Tenn.
Played in all 35 games for Ole Miss, making 20 starts as a freshman and finished fourth on the team with 9.3 points per game. Pinkins made 42.2 percent of his shots from deep which is the second highest shooting percentage in program history. He scored in double figures 16 times, including a season-high 26 points at Auburn.
 
Roman Siulepa – So. – F – Brisbane, Australia
Started all 33 games, averaging 10.0 points and 5.5 rebounds per game (including 2.9 offensive rebounds per game) as a true freshman while shooting 46.1 percent (124-of-269) from the field at Pittsburgh. He led the ACC in offensive rebounding during regular season conference play with 69 in 18 games (3.8 per contest). His 34 steals and 20 blocks ranked second for the Panthers a season ago.
