Softball Ranked No. 25 in Preseason Softball America Rankings
1/13/2026 | Softball
OXFORD, Miss. – The Ole Miss softball program has been tabbed as the No. 25 team in the nation by Softball America ahead of the 2026 campaign, as announced on Tuesday.
Softball America's poll is the first of four major polls that will be released prior to the start of the 2026 season. The NFCA, ESPN/USA Softball and D1Softball polls are still to come.
The mark is the program's first preseason top-25 nod since 2023, when the Rebels were ranked No. 25 by D1Softball to open the year.
The Rebels had a historic 2025 campaign that ended with the program's first Women's College World Series appearance and the program's highest national ranking, at No. 7 in the nation, by Softball America.
The Ole Miss roster features 16 newcomers in the form of 10 transfers and six freshmen, as the Rebels seek to reload for the new season. Three of those freshmen, Payton Kennedy, Addi Linton and Kaidance Till, were named to the Freshman Watch List by Softball America on Monday.
The Rebels are set to open the regular season on Feb. 5 in a doubleheader at Cal State Fullerton to kick off the season-opening Easton Classic.
