No. 5 Men’s Golf Leads After 36-Holes in Chattanooga

OOLTEWAH, Tenn. – The No. 5 Ole Miss men's golf team posted (566, -10) and hold a one-stroke lead over Vanderbilt at the inaugural playing of the Invitational at the Honors Course. Four Rebels sit inside the top 25 after two rounds.
Cameron Tankersley leads the way for Ole Miss at six-under par and tied for the 36-hole lead. The Tennessee native finished two-under in round one and followed with a four-under 68 in round two. Tankersley had just two bogeys on the card all day, tallying eight circles.
Tom Fischer was steady posting rounds of 72-69 to shoot three-under par. Fischer sits T7 heading into tomorrow's final round.
Michael La Sasso made his return to the lineup after representing Team USA in the Walker Cup at Cypress Point.
La Sasso and Cohen Trolio both sit at one-over T23 after 36 holes of play. Daniel Tolf rounds out the lineup at four-over through two rounds.
Ole Miss led the field in par 4 scoring (4.01) and birdies (42) on the day. Tankersley was second among individuals in par 4 scoring and third in par 3 scoring.
