Softball Trio Make Waves Following Ole Miss Career

OXFORD, Miss. – Several Ole Miss softball alumni who recently closed the books on their historic chapter in Oxford have now turned their attentions to new ventures across the country.
Recent graduates Lair Beautae, Aliyah Binford and Ashton Lansdell are blazing their own paths in the softball world.
Lair Beautae
Fresh off a key leadership role on Women’s College World Series roster that featured 16 newcomers, Beautae is taking her skills to the coaching ranks, as she was named an assistant coach with the Howard softball program.
A senior leader on the 2025 Rebel softball team, Beautae played in two Women’s College World Series in her collegiate career and in her lone season in Oxford, Beautae hit .341 with three home runs, 11 doubles and 24 RBI over 42 games.
Aliyah Binford
The All-Region and two-way sensation Binford drew the eyes of the professional softball league Athlete’s Unlimited Softball, earning a contract with the AUSL Blaze.

Binford joined the exclusive ranks of Rebel alumni to play professionally and immediately made an impact in the circle and at the plate. Binford hit .238 with a pair of doubles over seven games after signing in the middle of the season, while going 1-1 with a 4.61 ERA over 13.2 IP and six appearances in the circle, striking out eight.

Binford’s run with the AUSL has continued past the conclusion of the team campaign, as Binford also participated in the Athletes Unlimited Softball League All-Star Cup.
Ashton Lansdell
Following her standout performance down the stretch for the Rebel softball program, Lansdell continues to carve her own path, signing with the Savannah Party Animals of the newly formed Banana Ball Championship League (BBCL).

Lansdell is no stranger to Banana Ball, having spent time with the Savannah Bananas prior to joining the Rebels.
Banana Ball continues to sellout crowds around the nation, as they continue their tour of the United States. What started with the Savannah Bananas, has turned into an entire league, as the BBCL is set to get underway in 2026 feature five teams – the Bananas, the Party Animals, the Firefighters, the Visitors and the Texas Tailgaters.
