Taylor Roman to Return to Ole Miss Softball for Additional Season

OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss softball's Taylor Roman has been granted an additional season of eligibility and will return to the roster for the 2026 season.
Roman returns to the Rebels lineup for her second season, following her transfer from Louisiana last year.
A key member of the 2025 Women's College World Series team, Roman delivered countless big hits, with none bigger than her pinch-hit, three-run home run in the fifth inning to take the lead for good in a NCAA Regional win over No. 12 Arizona in Tucson.
Roman's heroics continued in the NCAA Super Regional at No. 4 Arkansas, where she nearly recaptured the same magic at Arizona. Roman roped a two-run double off the wall in another pinch-hit situation to come from behind and tie the game at 3-3. The Rebels would never let Arkansas regain the lead from there, winning 9-7.
Over the 2025 season, Roman hit .250 with two home runs and 15 RBI, while adding five doubles over 28 games.
Roman adds to a dynamic group of returners that feature NFCA All-South Region honorees Persy Llamas and Mackenzie Pickens.
