6/9/2025 | Softball

OXFORD, Miss. – After leading the Ole Miss softball program to its first Women's College World Series in program history, graduates Aliyah Binford and Lexie Brady have been named to Softball America's Final Top-100 players rankings.

Binford leads the way as the No. 30 player in the country according to Softball America. Brady also checks in at No. 85 in the nation.

The rankings were determined off of both regular season and postseason contributions.

Named an All-South Region honoree for her efforts as one of the nation's top two-way players, Binford shined in her lone season in Oxford. Binford hit .320 with a team-high 30 extra-base hits, tallying 15 doubles and 12 home runs, while also breaking the single season RBI (55) and total bases (122) records at Ole Miss. The New Braunfels, Texas, native surged in the NCAA Tournament, hitting .344 with four home runs and adding nine RBI over nine games.

Binford also excelled in the circle, particularly down the stretch as she was named to the NCAA's All-Tournament team after 11 innings of work in the Women's College World Series where she allowed no earned runs. Binford provided a steady presence in the circle all season long, going 11-5 with a 3.26 ERA (122.1 IP) over 29 appearances and struck out 88 batters. Binford tossed eight complete games, two shutouts and tallied four saves.

In her final season in Oxford, Brady took a massive step forward on the way to All-South Region and All-SEC honors. Brady broke a 22-year-old single season home run record at Ole Miss with 17 on the season, while also finishing second on the single season total bases chart with 115. Brady hit .323 with 28 extra-base hits, 51 RBI and a team-high 26 walks, while adding eight stolen bases and slugging .714. Brady finishes in the top-10 all-time at Ole Miss in home runs, RBI, slugging, on base percentage and walks.
