OXFORD, Miss. – Ole Miss track & field is one week away from the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships, where 15 Rebel athletes will compete in 13 total events at the University of Oregon’s Hayward Field from June 11-14.

The men’s hammer squad continued to dominate, setting a program record with four NCAA qualifying performances – which doubled the previous record of two berths in the event set last year.

Junior Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan went to work right away, recording a blast of 74.51m/244-5 in the first round. That performance earned The Bowerman watch list member the East Regional record and his third consecutive national berth in the hammer.

Junior Bryson Smith followed in second place on a throw of 68.40m/224-5, earning his first career national ticket.

Senior Jake Dalton earned his second consecutive national hammer berth with a heave of 67.82m/222-6 that took fourth.

Junior Mason Hickel had a career day, unleashing a 66.05m/216-8 PR to finish in eighth. That career-best throw moved him to fifth in program history and secured him his first career ticket.

In the women’s hammer, sophomore Skylar Soli’s 63.44m/208-2 mark earned her the final ticket with her 12th place finish. This marks her second consecutive qualifying birth in the event.

Meanwhile, the men’s pole vault made history of their own with two qualifying performances from sophomore John Kendricks and junior Logan Kelley, making them the first pole vault duo in Ole Miss history to qualify in the same season.

Kendricks took fourth in the prelims with a fourth-place performance of 5.43m/17-09.75, marking his first career national berth.

Kelley also earned his first career qualifying berth, clearing a career-best 5.33m/17-05.75 that earned him eighth.

In the men’s shot put, three-time reigning national champion Tarik Robinson-O’Hagan earned his third consecutive national berth in the shot put outdoors with his East Regional victory on a season-best and stadium record of 20.85m/68-5. This marks Robinson-O’Hagan’s sixth national double in as many tries, his third in a row outdoors.

Over in the women’s shot put, sophomore Akaoma Odeluga punched her second straight national ticket outdoors and third overall with her second-place finish at 18.24m/59-10.25.

In the men’s high jump, junior Arvesta Troupe punched his first career outdoor national ticket in second place with a clearance of 2.18m/7-01.75. Troupe was the NCAA bronze medalist indoors this past season.

The men’s 4x100-meter relay squad of senior Iangelo Atkinstall-Daley, freshmen Jordan Urrutia and Wesley Todd, and junior Joseph Michel put together a historic race at the East Regionals.

The foursome secured an auto-qualifier spot to Eugene in second place with a school record 39.11.

That marks only the fifth national 4x100-meter qualifying berth in men’s school history, the first in 10 years.

In the men’s 5K, the Rebel men continued with the theme of historic performances. The national qualifying pair of seniors Kidus Misgina and Toby Gillen became the first Ole Miss duo to qualify in the event simultaneously.

Misgina finished fifth in his heat at 13:54.94, earning the final automatic qualifying spot in his section. This marks Misgina’s first career national qualifying performance.

Gillen also took an automatic qualifying spot, finishing fifth in his heat at 14:08.45 – earning his third career national ticket, his second as a Rebel after finishing seventh in the 5K outdoors last season.
