10/29/2025 | Men's Golf
ATLANTA – The No. 12/4 Ole Miss men's golf team ended their trip to the East Lake Cup on a high note with a 3.5 – 1.5 win over No. 4/7 Arizona State in the consolation match Wednesday.
Despite heavy rain and windy conditions, the Rebels earned points in three of the first four matches including three outright wins from Tom Fischer, Cohen Trolio and Michael La Sasso.
After a tough semifinal, Fischer would bounce back with a 3&2 win of Michael Mjaaseth to put the first point on the board for Ole Miss. Fischer and Mjaaseth squared off in a 21-hole thriller last May in the quarterfinals of the NCAA Championships in Carlsbad.
Cohen Trolio picked up the second point for Ole Miss with a 5&3 win over Bowen Mauss. Trolio never trailed and went undefeated on the week in match play.
Michael La Sasso would also battle back after a loss yesterday with a 3&2 over Peer Wernicke.
Freshman Daniel Tolf would halve his match against Boston Bracken and Cameron Tankersley's match concluded after La Sasso clinched for the Rebels.
Ole Miss takes third overall in their first appearance on the men's side at East Lake.
