1/30/2025 | Cross Country
NEW ORLEANS – Both the Ole Miss women's and men's cross country teams have earned team academic honors and three individual athletes have also been honored in the annual USTFCCCA All-Academic awards release unveiled on Thursday.
To earn the team honor, teams must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, including the most recent grading period. For the individual distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 (or top 10 percent) at the NCAA Regional Championships, or as an All-American at the NCAA Championships.
The Ole Miss women earned the team honor for the 15th season in a row after notching a 3.59 GPA.
Earning individual honors for the women were All-Region runners junior Sophie Baumann and senior Loral Winn. Baumann, who owns a 3.7 GPA in Allied Health Studies, finished 23rd at the NCAA South Regional for her first All-Region nod. Winn, meanwhile, owns a perfect 4.0 graduate school GPA toward her master's in journalism, and this season she was All-Region, First-Team All-SEC and became only the third Rebel woman to earn an individual berth to the NCAA Championships.
The Rebel men's squad, meanwhile, earned the distinction for the ninth time in its history after posting a 3.32 GPA, their fifth team honor in a row since 2020.
Senior and All-Region runner Aiden Britt – who owns a 3.97 GPA in mechanical engineering – led the Rebel men to a 25th-place finish in the NCAA Championships – the eighth top-25 finish in Ole Miss men's history.
