Madisyn Pezzino Transitions to Assistant Coach Role with Soccer Program

OXFORD, Miss. – Former Ole Miss standout Madisyn Pezzino has worked in various roles for the Ole Miss soccer program and will now bring her knowledge and playing experience to the role of Assistant Coach. Pezzino shifts from her role as the Director of Analytics and Operations. She has been a member of program since 2018 and joined the staff as a student assistant during the 2022 season.
"We are thrilled for Madisyn "Pez" to transition into a new role on our staff" said head coach Molly Rouse. "She always showcases her commitment to the program and prioritizes the success of the players and people around her. We believe she can bring a new perspective and exciting energy to the field. The Rebels are lucky to have Pez continuing to contribute to the team in a different capacity!"
Pezzino has served as the Director of Analytics and Operations role the past two seasons on Molly Rouse's staff handling the day-to-day administrative operations for the soccer program including program budget, game day operations, team travel, and compliance.
Pezzino, a former Rebel standout on the field, has been a part of Ole Miss soccer since 2018. Pezzino played forward for the Rebels from 2018-21 and then joined the staff as a student assistant during the 2022 season.
As a player, Pezzino racked up 2,160 minutes on the pitch for the Rebels, scoring nine goals and dishing out seven assists during that time. During the 2020 season, she tied for the team lead in goals scored, with two of those goals coming in a 4-3 win over No. 14 Georgia. She earned her first ever SEC Offensive Player of the Week honor for her performance in the Rebels' comeback win.
Pezzino is originally from Grand Island, New York where she played soccer for Grand Island High School. She broke both the New York State single season (73) and career records (251) for goals scored and was named the Niagara Frontier League Player of the Year for three-straight years.
Pezzino holds a USSF National D License Certificate.
