Rebels to Visit No. 1 Gamecocks January 2

OXFORD, Miss. – After a historic start to the 2021-22 campaign with Ole Miss rattling off 12 straight wins to finish its non-conference slate 12-1, the Rebels will open road play in the SEC at No. 1 South Carolina on ESPN2 at 12 p.m. CT.

This will be the Rebels first appearance on either ESPN or ESPN2 in the past four seasons, as Ole Miss remains one of the nation's hottest teams. The Rebels have won 12 straight games for the first time since the 1991-92 season and are currently tied for the country's longest winning streak.

Ole Miss picked up their first win against a ranked non-conference opponent since 2007 by defeating No. 18 South Florida at the West Palm Beach Invitational to go 3-0 at neutral sites and have opened the season 3-0 on the road for the first time 2005.

The Rebels enjoy a short break for the holidays before their SEC opener at home with Arkansas next Thursday (Dec. 30) from the SJB Pavilion at 6 p.m. CT on SEC Network +.
