Rebels Wrap up Fall Season in Akron

AKRON, Ohio - Ole Miss rifle concluded the fall this weekend in Akron, Ohio at the NCAA Preview, falling to Akron on Saturday and NC State Sunday.
Recapping the NC State match
Sunday, the Rebels faced No. 9 NC State and improved upon Saturday's score, firing a 4606 aggregate. NC State finished with a 4636. Freshman Harley Gardner posted a 572 in smallbore to lead the Rebels, while junior Alison Weisz fired a 589 in air rifle to pace the team.

Rewinding to the Akron Match
Saturday, the Rebels took on No. 14 Akron and shot a 4574 to the Zips 4619. Junior Alison Weisz turned in a 593 in air rifle, one off her career-best, while sophomore Jessica Haig shot a 575 to lead in smallbore. It marked the third time this year for Weisz to post a score in the 590s.
