Rebels Fall At No. 10 Texas A&M

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Ole Miss women's basketball team fell at No. 10 Texas A&M 82-53 Thursday night.
With the loss, Ole Miss fell to 9-17 overall (2-11 SEC) while No. 10 Texas A&M improved to 21-6 overall (11-2 SEC).
Valencia McFarland led Ole Miss with 11points and four rebounds while Monique Jackson tied her career high with eight points to go along with six rebounds.
Texas A&M led 22-6 with 11:52 left in the first half. Up until that point, the Rebels started the game 3-13 from the floor while the Aggies started 11-17.
After the Aggies went up 27-9, Ole Miss held Texas A&M scoreless for four and a half minutes to close the gap to 27-15 on a jumper from Courtney Marbra with 5:56 to play.
At the half, Texas A&M led Ole Miss, 40-28. Jackson led Ole Miss with six points while McFarland and Danielle McCray each had five. Tia Faleru led the team with five rebounds.
As a team, Ole Miss shot 34.3 percent (12-35) from the floor while Texas A&M shot 55.9 percent (19-34).
In the second half, Ole Miss used a 6-0 run to cut Texas A&M's lead to 46-36 with 16:19 to play. The Aggies used a run of their own to push ahead, 58-38, with 11:37 remaining in the game.
Ole Miss will host Georgia No. 12 Georgia on Sunday at 1 p.m. The game will be televised on CSS.
