MURRAY, Ky. - The Ole Miss rifle team split a pair of matches over the weekend knocking off Nebraska on Sunday after falling to host-school Murray State on Saturday.

Led by freshman Alivia Yeager's career-best air mark of 587, the Rebels defeated the Cornhuskers by a team aggregate score of 4622-4573. Sophomore Kim Coffey chipped in an air score of 586, while freshman Abbey Stanec posted a 584. Junior Keely Stankey fired a mark of 581 and senior Meredith Holman rounded out the Rebel air line with a score of 578.

Stanec paced Ole Miss in the smallbore with a mark of 575 and Stankey was close behind with a score of 573. Freshman Melissa Quartarone posted a mark of 572, while Holman and Coffey fired smallbore totals of 564 and 563, respectively.

Against the host Racers, Coffey led the Rebels with an air score of 585 and a smallbore mark of 576. Both marks were just off her career highs of 587 and 577 set earlier this season. In the air, Holman and Yeager both posted a mark of 582, while Stanec and Stankey fired totals of 581 and 580, respectively.

In addition to Coffey's 576 in the smallbore, Stankey fired a 575, while Stanec posted a mark of 573 against the Racers. Quartarone and Holman rounded out the smallbore line with totals of 568 and 566, respectively.

"Overall, I am pleased with our performance over the weekend," said Ole Miss head coach Valerie Boothe. "We are still trying to return to where we were before the break, but I'm very happy we were able to earn a win against a good Nebraska team."

Next up, the Rebels will host Kentucky and Murray State this weekend at the Patricia C. Lamar National Guard Readiness Center in Oxford. All matches are open to the public.
