OXFORD, Miss. - Aided by a career-high air rifle score of 594 from sophomore Keely Stankey, the Ole Miss rifle team posted a season-best team score of 4590 in the Rebels' win over Tennessee Tech on Sunday.

Stankey's personal best led the Rebels in the air rifle and was just one point off Meredith Holman's school record. Colleen Tillson and Holman both posted scores of 585, while Kim Coffey closed out the Ole Miss line with a mark of 573. The Rebels outshot the Golden Eagles 2337-2286 in the air.

Stankey also led Ole Miss with a mark of 570 in the smallbore. Tillson finished close behind Stankey with a score of 568, while Holman turned in a mark of 558 and Coffey fired a total of 557 to give the Rebels a team score of 2253.

"Keely really had an amazing performance in the air," said Ole Miss head coach Valerie Boothe. "We had a tough time in the smallbore, but they really rebounded in the air and gave a great all-around performance. We need to build on this and get ready for Memphis."

On Saturday, the Rebels fell to defending national champion West Virginia 4696-4575. Stankey once again led the way for the Rebels with a mark of 584 in the air. Holman finished close behind with a total of 582, while Tillson (580) and Coffey (573) closed out the Rebels' air rifle scoring.

In the smallbore, Stankey also paced Ole Miss with a total of 575, while Coffey posted a season-best total of 564. Tillson turned in a mark of 563 and Holman fired a 554.

Next up, Ole Miss will host the Memphis Tigers on Feb. 3 at the Patricia C. Lamar National Guard Readiness Center in Oxford.
