STARKVILLE, Miss. - Martin Sjoqvist and Martin Selin of the Ole Miss men's tennis team lost in three sets to Marco Baron and Jeremy Bayon of Mississippi State in the doubles fina of the Mississippi Intercollegiate Championships, Wednesday. The Mississippi Intercollegiate was held Oct. 2-4, but the doubles final was postponed until Wednesday.

State took the opening set 6-4, but the Rebel duo came back to win the second set 6-3. Sjoqvist and Selin had break point in the first game of the third set, but could not capatilize and Baron and Bayon went on to win 6-0.

"I am proud of the way the guys played," head coach Billy Chadwick said. "We had an opportunity to break them early in the third set, but it didn't go our way. We are improving a lot everyday and are headed in the right direction."

The Rebels will now get ready to host the Ole Miss Indoor Tennis Championships Oct. 29-31 at the Women's Athletic Complex.
