Bree Bennett joined the Ole Miss track & field and cross country staff as its recruiting coordinator prior to the 2023-24 season.

Bennett arrived in Oxford after two seasons as the supervisor of operations with Purdue track & field and cross country in 2021-22 and 2022-23. With the Boilermakers, Bennett scheduled and coordinated all team travel, served as team liaison with the compliance office and managed all student managers. Bennett also assisted with the support staff, including academics, equipment, sports medicine, nutrition and communications.

Prior to Purdue, Bennett spent two seasons at Mississippi State as the director of operations across the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons. In Starkville, Bennett oversaw the day-to-day operations of the program, managed the team's travel and budget, coordinated on-campus recruiting visits and worked in conjunction with the compliance, equipment and facilities staffs.

From 2018-19, Bennett worked as a coordinator of learning services at Minnesota, where she worked with several sports to monitor academic coursework and grades while implementing programs for student-athletes with learning challenges. Bennett also collaborated with academic counselors to develop academic success plans for student-athletes.

Bennett was the hurdles and relays coach and academic advisor at Maynard Jackson High School in Atlanta from 2015-18. Her role included educating student-athletes on NCAA eligibility guidelines and monitoring the academic progress for varsity and junior varsity sports. As a coach, she planned and executed workouts and analyzed and evaluated film of training and competition with athletes.

Bennett was a volunteer assistant coach at Georgia from 2014-15. She assisted with the program’s daily operations, coordinating with equipment staff, assisting in hosting home meets and organizing the team’s annual awards banquet. Bennett also assisted the head coach with the budget and worked to promote the team’s camps and community events.

Bennett earned her associate’s degree in liberal arts from Bevill State College in 2009 and her bachelor’s degree from Angelo State University in 2011. She received a master’s in coaching and sport administration from Angelo State in 2013.
