SERIES INFORMATION



 



�         Today's meeting was the 85th meeting between the Rebels and the Commodores. Ole Miss leads the series 47-36-2 and despite today�s loss has won 13 of the last 18 meetings.



�         �Vanderbilt is the Rebels' third-most played opponent behind Mississippi State (106) and LSU (98).

GENERAL NOTES



�         Ole Miss has started 0-2 at home for the first time since 2007.



�         The Rebels have now lost seven-straight SEC openers and are 30-44-3 all-time in conference openers including a 16-17 record in Oxford.



 



OFFENSE



�         Quarterback Jeremiah Masoli finished the game with 190 yards passing and 104 yards rushing. He is the first QB to record at least 100 yards passing and 100 yards rushing in the same game since Archie Manning posted 206 passing yards and 109 rushing yards against Mississippi State in 1969. Masoli is also the first Rebel QB to rush for 100 yards in a game since Tom Luke rushed for 136 yards and two touchdowns in the 1991 Egg Bowl.



�         Freshman wide receiver Korvic Neat scored his first career touchdown on a four-yard run at the end of the first half.



�         The Rebels had 11 different receivers catch a pass during the game.



 



DEFENSE



�         Linebacker Jonathan Cornell recorded 1.5 quarterback sacks and extended his team-leading total to 4.5 on the season.



 



SPECIAL TEAMS



�         Sophomore Tyler Campbell punted a career-high seven times for 312 yards and a 44.6-yard average. He had two punts longer than 50 yards, including a season long 65-yarder, and downed one punt inside the 20-yard line.
