Rifle Ranked No. 5 in CRCA Preseason Rankings

OXFORD, Miss. – The Ole Miss rifle program has been tabbed as the No. 5 team in the nation ahead of the upcoming season in the annual Collegiate Rifle Coaches Association (CRCA) preseason rankings.
The Rebels are one of three members of the Patriot Rifle Conference in the top-five, joining No. 3 TCU and No. 4 Nebraska. It marks the second consecutive season that the Rebels have opened the year as the No. 5 team in the nation. The Rebels went on to hold the No. 1 national ranking for part of the 2025-26 season and finish third overall at the NCAA Championships.
West Virginia holds the No. 1 ranking in the nation, followed by No. 2 Kentucky. The Rebels will make a trip to Morgantown, W.Va., to end the fall campaign from Nov. 14-15, while the Rebels will host Kentucky in Oxford on Jan. 17.
The Rebels enter the new season led by second year head coach Will Shaner and are powered by returning All-Americans Audrey Gogniat and Gracie Dinh. Gogniat is a back-to-back NCAA champion in air rifle.
The Rebels are in action for the first time this weekend, hosting No. 14 Ohio State and No. 18 UT Martin on Saturday, Sept. 26. Action begins at 8 a.m. CT.
