Tankersley Advances to Compete for Individual Title at NCAA Championship

CARLSBAD, Calif. – No. 9 Ole Miss men's golf completed the third round of stroke play at the 2026 NCAA Championship on Sunday, as Cameron Tankersley advanced as an individual to compete for a national title at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa on Monday.
The Rebels had their best round of the week on the final day, shooting even-par, to cap off the weekend with a scorecard of 884 (+20). Finishing with a share of 26th place among a field of the nation's best, Ole Miss, as a team, will close their season at the NCAA Championship.
All five Rebels shot even-par in the third and final round.
Tankersley made four birdies on the day, bringing his total so far this weekend to 14, which ties for eighth among the field. The senior also ranks tied for third on par-5 scoring over the past three days. He holds a share of 15th place heading into the final day of stroke play, sitting just seven strokes behind the individual leader.
Tom Fischer posted his best round at the NCAA Championship this year, joining Tankersley in making four birdies, including his final collegiate hole on No. 18. Freshman Finn Meister capped his impressive debut at the NCAA Championship, with a spotless front nine to match Fischer at 8-over on the weekend.
Cohen and Collins Trolio each tallied their best rounds on Sunday. Coh. Trolio's final collegiate round of golf was highlighted by his perfect front nine, earning two of his three birdies of the day. The brothers both conclude their time in California 9-over par.
Tankersley will tee off at 2:42 pm CT on Monday at hole 10.
